The City of Wichita Economic Development Office works directly with businesses & through other economic development organizations to help existing & new businesses grow in Wichita & to attract existing businesses to relocate to Wichita, through the use of financial incentives. Incentive programs include industrial revenue bonds, property tax & sales tax abatements, tax increment financing & small business loans. Other departments provide specialized assistance to businesses within the context of their operational parameters. These include Development Assistance Office, Property Management Office, Planning Department, Office of Central Inspection, Finance Dept., Water & Sewer Dept., Police Dept. & Fire Dept.
