Kansas Statewide Certification Program (KSCP)
About
This program is responsible for certifying disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned businesses as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). Qualifying businesses can increase their opportunities to gain contracts and subcontracts with governmental and private entities committed to the inclusion of disadvantaged, minority and women-owned businesses in the contracting and procurement process. The Kansas Department of Commerce & Housing, Office of Minority & Women Business Development, and the Kansas Department of Transportation, Office of Engineering Support, jointly administer the certification program utilizing 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 26 and 13 CFR 124, 106. Certified businesses are listed in a directory of DBEs that are mailed to state, federal, local governments, and private sector corporations, seeking to do business with minority- and women-owned businesses.
