The SOS is a minsterial filing office that files business entity documents and uniform commercial code documents and we make them available to the public. Documents to form a business entity (i.e. articles of incorporation, certificate of limited partnership, etc.) are filed with the SOS, and subsequent filings such as amendments, mergers, dissolutions, and annual reports may also be filed with the SOS. The SOS does nto offer business advice and does not regulate companies. Persons forming business entities and filing documents with the SOS must seek financial or legal advice from a professional.
