The Hillsboro Development Corporation has a full time executive director who is available to assist in the development of new up-start businesses as well as the growth of existing businesses. We seek to help accelerate the success of innovative entrepreneurs surrounding them with the resources needed to succeed. We are able to assist with business plans, financial assistance, facility assessment, human resource needs and other issues facing the growth and development of small business ventures. Hillsboro’s 160 acre Industrial Park, owned by the Hillsboro Development Corporation is home to a dozen business concerns. The largest businesses are Golden Heritage Foods and Hillsboro Industries with a combined employment exceeding 100 people. Located on highway 56, the Industrial Park provides easy access for the transportation of manufactured goods. Lots are reasonably priced and include all utilities.
