Main Street is a national program designed to restore downtown areas as viable marketplaces & the center of community activity. Emporia Main Street was established in 1991, & is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization. Main Street is an on-going program that is essentially the management of change over time. Main Street produces dramatic short term improvements, particularly in appearance & promotions, while creating a strong organizational foundation that is critical to long term revitalization success. Our thriving downtown is a great source of pride for the people of Emporia, & a powerful asset when recruiting new businesses, jobs, & residents to Emporia.Services Provided
