The Chanute Workforce Center goal is to connect Kansas businesses with a trained workforce through direct referrals, interviewing, screening and providing training on-the-job, and class room training.

About

The Chanute Workforce Center as part of the Kansas Department of Commerce is committed to connecting the businesses of Kansas with a workforce that is prepared to meet their business goals. Our office provides business assistance from job assessements to assist in writing job descriptions, listing of employment openings, taking job applications, screening, initial interviewing, and workforce referrals. We serach job applicant listings for qualified candidates and provide information to both the employer and prospective employee to make that workforce connection. The Workforce Investment Act funding provides us with the means to place prospective employees with business in an on-the-job training when business goals require in house training. Classroom training support is also available for those types of careers that business need on a continued basis in the local area. Note: This center is implementing some changes to the services it offers. Clients may also be referred to the Independence Center at (620) 332-1660. By Jamie Hofling
