The City of Humboldt provides building space for business start up.

About

The City of Humboldt provides building space for new businesses. A lease participation agreement is offered for one year with zero rent payments and a utility reimbursement prorated starting at 20% and increased each quarter by like amount until it reaches 80% by the end of the first year. The City pays for any major repairs to the building including the heating and cooling system. The tenant is responsible for any minor repairs.

At the end of the first twelve months, the lease must be renegotiated or the tenant must move out of the building space provided. The tenant must also provide proof of liability insurance in the amount not less than $100,000. The City also provides access to wireless internet. The tenant must pay for telephone service. The lease agreement is not subject to sublease or assignment.  Tennant can be asked to vacate within 60 days if property is sold.  The tenant can be asked to vacate within 30 days if any other terms of the agreement are broken.
