This Small Business Administration/SCORE program will show the steps needed to plan a successful nonprofit business. You will also learn about the Foundation Directory database to find potential funding sources and print resources to start and manage your nonprofit.

Presenter: Cindy Miles

Cindy Miles is the President and CEO of the Kansas Nonprofit Chamber and the founder of The Incubator for Nonprofits of Kansas. Cindy is known for her work in assisting hundreds of nonprofit start-ups in Kansas and surrounding states as well as the training and consulting she has provided to numerous nonprofit organizations and businesses in and around the region over the past 10 years. She also has extensive knowledge and more than 25 years of experience in marketing, business development, and public relations. Cindy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing from Wichita State University and a Master of Business Administration from Newman University. She has received certificates for Board Governance Training through BoardSource and Fundraising through the Lily School of Philanthropy. She also received certificates for Teaching Leadership through Kansas Leadership Center.
