The 2018-2019 YEC Series Kicks Off

By: NetWork Kansas

YEC 2018 Marion Co.

The school year is very close to starting and we know you are ready to dive into this year's YEC Series. Great news: we have finalized the local guidelines and requirements that you will need to start your in-depth planning! You can read the full version here.

For the second year in a row of the YEC Series, events coordinated by any Kansas community or organization (not just E-Communities) will be permitted. We're excited to welcome new events! However, most of what you have experienced in the past will stay the same. There will continue to be more perks and resources than ever for E-Communities hosting YEC events! Read the Local Guidelines for more details.

We are partnering again with K-State this year to host a single, unified state championship for YEC Series winners and others, the Kansas Entrepreneurship Challenge (KEC). It will take place in Manhattan, date TBD. We're looking forward to this collaboration! The KEC date will be announced when it is finalized.

More good news: our YEC Portal has been updated with new resources based on feedback we received at our second annual YEC Summit in June! On top of this, the Portal will continue to be updated with information pertaining to this YEC season. The YEC portal is a web app that provides access to all YEC resources in one place. It is a one-stop-shop for YEC success, which couldn't have happened without you. With your feedback at the YEC Summit we have continued to refine a resource that we think you will love to use.

In the portal you can gather student registrations and see all guidelines, requirements and information about the 2018-2019 YEC series. There are a variety of planning and educational resources including templates, scorecards, and examples. Please check out the portal, especially the Guidelines and Resources tabs. Access the portal online here.

During the 2017-2018 season, 709 students competed in 31 local competitions. We're looking forward to growing these numbers this year. You can read a recap of last season here to see the wonderful opportunities for students that we've created together!
