Wichita, Kansas, October 23, 2018 --- NetWork Kansas is excited to announce that it is the new home for the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship’s e2 entrepreneurship expertise and resources. Effective January 1, 2019, a new national initiative launches known as e2 Entrepreneurial Ecosystems. The Center’s Co-Founder, Don Macke, joins the NetWork Kansas team as Vice President. This innovative effort will provide a platform to offer learning institutes, a consulting network, analytics support and mentoring to benefit the entrepreneurs, small businesses, resource partners and communities in Kansas as well as nationally.
The impetus for the move came through years of working together in communities throughout Kansas and the emerging opportunity to strengthen entrepreneurial environments in rural and urban distressed geographies. “We couldn’t be more thrilled with this partnership arrangement,” says NetWork Kansas CEO Steve Radley, “It will allow NetWork Kansas to integrate thirty (30) years of the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship’s work into our strategies for helping rural communities across Kansas and beyond.”
Additionally, NetWork Kansas will work with LOCUS Impact Investing through its recently announced partnership with the Kansas Health Foundation. The new initiative that creates the Kansas Community Philanthropy Innovators Network and the Kansas Community Investment Fund is designed with the ambitious goal of building healthier and more vibrant Kansas communities through integrated community and economic development efforts. These efforts will include community foundation and economic development organizational support and investment.
