Hillsboro, the gateway to Marion Reservoir Lake, is located on the edge of the Flint Hills in central Kansas. Hillsboro’s 3000 residents enjoy living in a progressive town with a strong educational system. A new $5.8 million athletic stadium was recently completed as a joint venture between USD 410 and Tabor College. Hillsboro has an aggressive business climate with an active Industrial Park home to 12 businesses including two trailer manufacturing firms, feed mill and Golden Heritage Foods one of the nation’s leading producers of processed honey. In 2009 Hillsboro received the E–Community designation from the Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship. Our first E-Community loan was made in January 2010 to Jostrux Graphics and Upholstery as a Hillsboro business start-up.
