Augusta
The City of Augusta became a NetWork Kansas Entrepreneurship Community (E-Community) in 2008. Augusta is located in Butler County, and has an estimated population of 8,500.
Augusta, a city one year older than Wichita, has a rich history and the foresight to consider progressive strategies to maximize their proximity to Wichita and Andover. The possibilities and plans for Augusta’s future are driven by strong local leadership and a vision for economic growth. Current projects include plans for a new Civic/Wellness Center to anchor downtown revitalization efforts, the restoration of a historic depot, and a $48 million bond issue to build and remodel Augusta schools.
