Sterling, KS – Rice County Economic Development, in association with the Network Kansas E-Community Partnership, announces the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program will be offered in Rice County this March. Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Tuesdays, March 28th through April 18th with a program fee of $20 per person. The goal of the course is to teach participants to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

Taught by Brian Richter, a master certified Ice House facilitator, this interactive 4-week program provides practical entrepreneurial lessons through first-hand experiences of successful, real-life entrepreneurs. Based on the book, Who Owns the Ice House, this curriculum consists of video interviews and case studies along with individual assignments, assessments, and discussion topics. This popular course is offered only a handful of times per year across the state and Rice County has brought this course to the community for the 2nd time.

“Stacy and Brian have done a great job putting the class together. Their intent is to have a more casual program with less time commitment than the full-length program. Members of the community will benefit from hearing Brian teach the class because he is so engaging and easy to listen to! Participants will come away with a more practical understanding on how to become an entrepreneur,” said Ciara Thyfault, Manager of Central Region E-Communities.
