Steve Radley is the President and CEO of the Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship DBA NetWork Kansas. Since the launch in March of 2006, NetWork Kansas has created a resource partner network of more than four hundred and ninety (490) partners. In addition, NetWork Kansas has launched multiple loan programs that have provided matching loans of more than $5.2 million to more than two hundred and ten (210) rural businesses. These rural businesses have retained and created more than eleven hundred jobs. (1100) A resident of Wichita, Steve began his career in the private sector as the 28th employee of a business startup technology company, Brite Voice Systems in Wichita. The company grew from $6 million to more than $175 million during the nine years Steve worked for Kansas entrepreneur Stan Brannan. Since then, Steve has co-owned two businesses including a manufactured housing dealership that was sold to the largest manufacturer in the country, Champion Enterprises. Steve’s work experience centers on business development and taking products and businesses from startup to maturity. Steve has an MBA from the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University, an MA in Christian Ministry from Friends University, and a BA in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.

Erik is the Director of E-Communities for the Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship DBA NetWork Kansas.  Erik’s initial task was the development and growth of the NetWork Kansas referral center. Erik’s responsibilities have grown to oversee the Entrepreneurship (E-) Community partnership. This partnership, which has grown to 30 E-Communities, includes an injection of capital raised locally through the NetWork Kansas Entrepreneurship Tax Credit Program to help start and grow businesses in rural Kansas communities. Erik graduated from Friends University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Erik began his career in 1990 when he went to work for a Wichita-based technology startup company, Brite Voice Systems, owned by Stan Brannan. At Brite Voice, Erik worked in marketing and business development. In 1997, Erik left Brite Voice to start a manufactured housing dealership with Steve Radley, President of the Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship. The business was later sold to the largest manufacturer in the country, Champion Enterprises, and Erik remained with Champion as General Manager until May 2005. Erik’s work experience centers on the overall operation and management of fast growing businesses and organizations.

Corey Mohn, Director of Statewide Programs

Corey serves as the Director of Statewide Programs for NetWork Kansas. In this role, Corey coordinates overall direction of financial assistance programs, including the StartUp Kansas Loan Fund and the Kansas Capital Multiplier Loan and Venture Funds. Additionally, Corey partners on the Kansas Economic Gardening Network Pilot Program and provides oversight of the NetWork Kansas referral center. Corey co-founded Planning Initiatives, LLC, a city planning consulting firm, in the summer of 2001 where he instructed community leaders on the legalities and usefulness of state economic development programs and policies. In 2006, Corey brought his economic development experience to the Kansas Department of Commerce. As Agribusiness Development Specialist for the Rural Development Division, he facilitated department projects and served as a liaison to help coordinate the role of the Department of Commerce in economic development initiatives.  Corey was the inaugural program manager for the Office of Rural Opportunity, a community capacity building program that achieved an 80:1 return on state investment to the benefit of rural Kansas communities. After serving as Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Lawrence, Corey joined NetWork Kansas as Director of Statewide Programs in August 2011. Corey obtained Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and economics at Washington University in St. Louis and will complete a Masters in business administration from Baker University in June 2012.

John Paul Gendron, Senior Product Manager, Expertise

John Gendron started working with NetWork Kansas in 2005 as a part-time referral coordinator, while still a full-time college student and entrepreneur. He graduated in 2006 from Wichita State University with degrees in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.  John was awarded the product manager, Internship upon graduation and was hired full-time in 2007.  While working full time and operating a business, John completed an accelerated MBA through the Center for Management Development at Wichita State University.  John was then appointed Senior Product Manager, Expertise in the spring of 2008.  In this role, he manages Economic Gardening and the NetWork Kansas resource clearinghouse.

A long-time staff member of the NetWork Kansas, Jamie started as a part-time referral coordinator in 2005. In the spring of 2008, she was appointed to the newly-created position of Product Manager, Economics. Jamie manages the organization's matching fund programs that provide funding to entrepreneurs and existing businesses across Kansas. Jamie graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University in May of 2007 with a BA degree in international studies and business administration as well as a minor in Spanish. This year she is getting a true feel for entrepreurship; she purchased an established yoga studio business in Wichita, Yoga Central.

A member of the NetWork Kansas team since February 2008, Anne is currently pursuing a graduate degree in intellectual history from Wichita State University and is submitting her first novel to publishers. Since she joined NetWork Kansas, she has worked extensively writing articles for the newsletter and designing collateral. In the fall of 2010 she was promoted to the newly-created position of Marketing Specialist, Design Editor, and Online Communication/Social Media Manager. She particularly enjoys writing about NetWork Kansas' innovative programs and communicating about statewide entrepreneurial ventures to a growing online audience as the organization expands. She has worked for numerous entrepreneurs, including her father, and is a passionate supporter of entrepreneurship. Anne is a lifelong Kansas resident, a National Merit Scholar who graduated in the top 1% of her high school class and stayed in Kansas to graduate with honors from WSU with a BA in history and a minor in sociology.

As Financial Specialist for NetWork Kansas, Kristi is responsible for all aspects of the accounting process.  Her career began in 1990 working in the accounting department for Brite Voice Systems in Wichita, KS.  After 7 years experience with Brite Voice, Kristi became a stay-at-home mom.  During that time, Kristi continued to work part-time in accounting for a couple of small business ventures. In 2009, she was hired to oversee NetWork Kansas’ accounting. Kristi graduated with a BA in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Bethany College in 1989.

Through Network Kansas Luci helps entrepreneurs by directing them to resource partners.  Luci will graduate May of 2013 from Wichita State University where she majors in Management and minors in Entrepreneurship.  She has been a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Kansas for since Fall 2008.
