The Kansas Economic Growth Act of 2004, passed by the Kansas Legislature, establishes a tax credit for business development through the Kansas Community Entrepreneurship Fund. The Fund, StartUp Kansas, has been established to provide economic resources for prospective Kansas entrepreneurs and small business owners who are starting a business or want to start growing their existing business. Entrepreneurs and small business owners access StartUp Kansas by working with local or regional NetWork Kansas partner organizations that assist in providing seed capital funds.
Eligible Contributions
Eligible contributions start at $250 and can be up to $66,700. Donors receive a 75% tax credit for these contributions to the StartUp Kansas fund. Donors also receive a federal income tax deduction..
