The Kansas Economic Growth Act of 2004 (KEGA) established the Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship (KCFE), which subsequently authorized Wichita State University’s Center for Entrepreneurship to conduct an inventory of all existing entrepreneurial programs and educational opportunities in the state of Kansas.

The listing is designed to provide guidance to small business owners and entrepreneurs, whether those individuals are thinking of starting a business or are rapidly growing their businesses and looking for entrepreneurial education and training opportunities in their local areas. This information may also be useful to economic development professionals and business consultants interested in connecting entrepreneurs and small business owners with education and training resources those individuals may need; in addition this listing may be useful to policymakers by providing insight into those geographical areas or economic regions that may require additional educational resources.
